On Saturday June 13th, 2026 at 10 AM join the Fundy Biosphere and the biology graduate student society from UNB Saint John to record as many iNaturalist observations as possible!

Purpose

This iNaturalist BioBlitz is encouraging participants to fill biodiversity data gaps in Canada. By contributing observations from less-sampled regions, such as New Brunswick, participants help improve our understanding of species distribution, which is vital for conservation planning.

What to bring

• Sunscreen, hat, water, hiking shoes / boots.
• Fully charged cell phone with the latest iNaturalist app downloaded.
• Charging cables/power banks, camera (if you have one).

Details

FREE ADMISSION to the provincial park for all BioBlitz participants. Just tell folks at the front gate you are participating in the BioBlitz. Meet at Big Salmon River Interpretive Centre. All observations uploaded to iNaturalist at the Fundy Trail on June 13th will be eligible for this project. Prizes available for the naturalists with the most observations within a 24hr period.
